My 10 Favorite Novels of 2013

At the end of 2012, I resolved to read 52 books in 2013.

I surpassed my goal by reading 61! WOOHOO!

I was going to list all 61 books, but that’s extremely time consuming, and I wouldn’t recommend all of them anyway. INSTEAD, I’m going to link to my top 10, since that’s a much more manageable number for you to pick from.

In no particular order, here are my 10 FAVORITE NOVELS OF 2013!

I think Sharp Objects might be interesting. Even before I moved onto Cyberpunk, dark contemporary was something I’ve been drawn to.

I like that one book that is set in Franklin Tennessee, with a farm cover that I can’t remember the name of off hand. I bought it when I went o B & N.

SCORPIO RACES! I love so many of the books on your list! I also have yet to read a few, though they are high on my TBR (like Fangirl and I have to finish The Book Thief).

If you’re into fantasy, you should totally read Melina Marchetta’s Lumatere Chronicles. They are amazing, and she is brilliant. I kind of can’t believe this was the first time she’d written fantasy, especially since she went from writing Contemps to writing like high fantasy.

Stephanie Kuehn’s debut CHARM & STRANGE is a good, dark, psychological book with great magical realism – reminds me a little of the style of Nova Ren Suma’s 17 & GONE.
